Why branding requires patience (and how it multiplies your profit)
One of the things that bothers me most about the internet today is the search for instant solutions.
“How to gain 10,000 followers in a week?”
“What's the magic formula for going viral?”
“Does branding make a quick profit?”
I can understand the anxiety. We live in an age of infinite scrolling, where even knowledge has become a disposable product.
But here's the truth that nobody wants to hear:
Branding is not a tactic. It's building.
When I say that brand strategy increases profits (and it does), people get excited.
When I say that this requires time, study and a deep dive into the DNA of the business, they lose interest.
It sounds contradictory, but it's not.
The irony of branding:
The more you invest in depth - purpose, values, real experience - the more profit comes as a consequence.
I'm not talking about pretty things for Instagram.
I'm talking about:
Understand why your brand exists beyond the money it generates.
Align every message, every interaction, every product with who you really are.
Have the courage to discard what is superficial, even if “everyone else is doing it”.
If you want something that will survive algorithm changes, crises and competition, sit down.
The conversation is long, but necessary.
In the end, only one thing matters:
Brands that last are not those that promise more. They're the ones that fulfill what they already are.
